Marijuana

Marijuana is the most rubbish of drugs suffering, as it does, from the highest anticipation:disappointment ratio of any substance on earth. Most common or garden brown ‘hash’ varietals are about as mind-altering as smoking dessicated multi-purpose compost.
Marijuana creates in the user mild states of sleepiness, hunger and confusion and generally softens the  mood. Much like being an infant. If a visitor to a barbecue produces a spliff or announces his intention to get stoned, many will venture to join them in said spliff in the hope that the thudding tedium of these primal cook-outs  will be relieved by some kind of journey to a whole new dimension of cool.  Sober partygoers will notice their friends returning from their secret smoke to be slightly more dull and smiley. They may also marvel about how the muscles in said tokers’ faces have relaxed completely giving them a pudding-faced pliability.
Inoffensive though this may seem, it only takes one look at a ‘legalise marijuana’ campaigner to realise that adoption of marijuana as the national drug as opposed to tea would result in a nation of annoying, lethargic self-righteous idiots prone to declaring many of the things they encounter as ‘cool’.

Like so many rubbish things marijuana is not offensive or dangerous, just dull and pointless.
